The Rod End Bearing, also commonly known as a spherical plain bearing or “bi mắt trâu”, is a critical mechanical linkage component widely used in pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical transmission systems. Despite its compact size, it offers high load capacity, flexible angular movement, and long service life, making it suitable for demanding industrial applications.

🔹 Structure of the Rod End Bearing

The rod end bearing consists of two main parts:

1. Bearing Head (Spherical Eye)

  1. Composed of a polished inner spherical ring housed within a corresponding outer ring.
  2. Designed to handle axial loads, radial loads, or combined loads.
  3. Allows a certain degree of angular misalignment, ensuring smooth motion even under offset conditions.

2. Shank / Body (Threaded Rod)

  1. The bearing head is integrated with an extended body featuring internal or external threads, depending on the model.

  3. This section is also referred to as the threaded shaft, providing secure mechanical connection.
