Bai Dinh - Trang An is a scenic complex in Ninh Binh province, including a system of limestone mountains millions of years old, weathered over a long period of time by changes in the earth and climate, forming valleys, caves, lakes, wetland ecosystems, and other relics that have been ranked as national monuments of special importance by the Vietnamese Government. This is also a temple complex known for many Asian and Vietnamese records, such as the largest temple, the largest gilded bronze Buddha statue, and the longest corridor of Arhat statues in Asia. It is expected to become a mixed world heritage with both cultural and natural criteria for the first time in Vietnam.
